[IELTS Writing Task 1] Please help me with this map task

The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

description

(and this is my work)

The two pictures provided illustrate the development of a small town named Islip that will be taken in the future.

It is immediately obvious that there will be a dramatic change in transport facilities as well as the increase of town amenities. The most significant change that will occur is the construction of a big dual carriageway that encloses most of the town.

At the present moment, Islip has a main road that runs across from the west to the east of the town. On the both sides of the road there are arrays of shops covering the most part of the main road. To the south of those shops there are residential accommodations, while the north side of the town is the place for the countryside. There are also two small roads located at the beginning and the end of the main road, leading southward to a school and a park respectively.

The plans show that there will be a big dual carriageway that surrounds most of the town, except for the school and the new-built housing at the south of the town. The sequence used to be a part of the main road inside the carriageway will be dedicated for pedestrians only. The northern series of shops will be converted into an array consisting of bus station, shopping center, car park, and a new housing lead by a small road branching from the main one. The southern shops will remain intact, while the park will be shrunk to make room for the addition of a new housing, further extending the living places for townspeople.
