IELTS Writing Task 1 - Please Help Me Check It Out

The bar chart provides information about the proportion of two genders arrested by different kind of crimes in September in 2008.

Overall, there were huge differences in the percentage and the gap between males and females among the offences. It can be clearly seen that violence agianst the person and theft and handling stolen goods took the highest percentage compared to other offences listed in the chart.

These two crimes had quite similar proportion of females with the higher percentage, approximately 33%, lied on violence agianst the person. The male offenders were slightly lower than females in violence agianst the person, above 30%, one and a half times higher than that in theft and handling stolen goods.

In this month, robbery, burglary, fraud and forgery, criminal damage and drug offences had the percentage of under 10% for both genders. Of these five offences, it is noticeacle that males dominated over females except for fraud and forgery. Other offences saw the close proportion between two genders with roughly 15% for males and 13% for females.
