IELTS writing task 1 - Please check my essay

The table below gives information about the underground railway systems in six cities.

The table compares the underground lines for trains in six cities in terms of length, date opened, and the numbers of passengers in a year

Overall, all underground railways systems established in separate years from the 19th century to the 21th century. And, these tracks in London Paris and Tokyo seem to be longer and more crowded, while three cities left – Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles - are shorter and have fewer passengers.

To begin with, Tokyo underground railway systems opened in 1927 is the most crowded with 1927 million people using in a year. Following Tokyo underground railway systems, Paris underground railway systems, the older systems established in 1900, have 1191 million passengers per year while the oldest London underground railways systems are used by 775 million people. Besides, 394 kilometres of the route in London is quite longer than 155 kilometres of the Tokyo’s route and 199 kilometres of the Paris’ route.

On the other hand, the Washington DC underground railways system, opened in 1976, has 126 kilometres of route. This route is much longer than two routes in Kyoto and Los Angeles which are 11 kilometres and 28 kilometres respectively. In addition, the Los Angeles underground opened in 2001 has the total of passengers is 50 million per year and the Kyoto underground opened in 1981 has just 45 million passengers, compared to the Washington DC underground has 144 million people using in a year.
