The graphs below compare the number of cosmetic procedures performed on males and females in Korea in 2004.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two graphs show the popularity of various forms of cosmetic surgery among Korean men and women in 2004.

Plastic surgery is widely performed on woman rather than man. With 300000 Korean women did eyelid surgery in the year 2004 and is by far the most common type of cosmetic procedure in female. This number five-fold the amount of men involving in hair transplantation which is the most popular surgery in this group. Rhinoplasty and laser skin resurfacing are also well enjoyed by both men and women. In the female group, it is more common to do rhinoplasty than laser skin resurfacing with the number of each type are over 250000 cases and 200000 cases respectively. In contract, nearly 60000 procedures of skin resurfacing were conducted in men compare to 40000 procedures of rhinoplasty operations. There were less people doing the breast enlargement and abdominoplasty with approximately 150000 operations and 19000 operations respectively. The liposuction being the least favourite type in this surgery industry as it carried out for only 12000 times in women. In men group, face lifting was rarely done as it only had 16000 patients in 2004.

Operations like Hair transplantation, abdominoplasty and face lifting were reported exclusively in men population while all liposuctions, breast enlargement and eyelid surgery were only conducted on women.
