[IELTS WRITING TASK 1] : PIE CHART . Can You Check For Me , Please ?

The two pie charts illustrate the percentage of people who travel by five different way to one university in 2004 and 2009. Overall, while the proportion of people traveling to this university by car was highest in 2005, the figure for bus passengers held the leading position in 2009. There was an increase in the percentages of people commuting by bus, bicycle, train and walking, but the opposite was true for car users.

In 2004, Car was the most popular vehicle for people traveling to this university, occupying more a half, which was higher than the figures for bus and cycling, at 33% and 9% respectively. In comparison, the percentage of pedestrians was 4%, followed by 3% in the proportion of people going to this university, which was lowest.

From that year to 2009, the proportion of people who catch bus increased strongly of 13%, which hold the leading position. Similarly, there was a significant rise in the cyclists from 9% to 16%., compare to a moderate increase of 2% and 1% in the figures for walking and train respectively. In contrast, the percentage of car travelers decrease dramatically by 23%.
