I'm preparing for the IELTS test next month and I wrote an essay for TASK 1. Could anyone help me to check it?
My answer:
The charts give data about the production of different sources of energy in France in the years 1995 and 2005.
It is clear that energy was mainly produced from coal, gas, and petrol. In addition, the ten-year period witnessed a considerable change in the percentage of petrol production.
In 1995, the share of coal production was highest, at 29.8%, while the figures for gas and petrol production were slightly lower, at 29.63% and 29.27% respectively. Meanwhile, the production of nuclear energy accounted for 6.4% of total energy production, compared to only nearly 5% for that of other energy.
In 2005, the percentages of coal and gas production increased slighly to 30.93% and 30.31% respectively. Similarly, the figures for nuclear and other energy production nearly doubled to 10.1% and 9.1% respectively. On the other hand, a considerable decrease in the number for petrol was seen, falling from 29.27% to just almost 20%.
