The diagrams below show the site of a school in 2004 and the plan for changes to the school site

in 2024.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make
comparisons where relevant.

The maps illustrate how a school site is planned to be developed over a 20-year period.

Overall, the process of modifications will be marked with extensive developments with regards to the construction of buildings, the green area, and the roads in the school site. Additionally, the number of students will also increase significantly.

In 2004, there was only one car park to the west of the site, near the main entrance of the school. There were also two buildings, accommodating 600 students, separated by a pathway running from the main entrance to the sports field. Surrounding the school in the north, south, and east is the woodland.

There are plans to increase the number of students served by 400 in 2024. As a result, a new school building will replace the old sports field, and the two original buildings are going to be joined together. After being joined, these will be connected to building number 3 by the old path which no longer run from the entrance. Furthermore, a part of the woodland in the east is planned to be deforested to make room for a new, smaller sports field. There will be a new parking lot adjacent to the new building, which will connect to the original car park by a new road crossing the forest.
