The maps below show the village of Stokeford in 1930 and 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The maps illustrate the transformation of a village called Stokeford between 1930 and 2010.
Overall, the village became more developed. There were more houses while the farmlands disappeared in the 70 year period.
From 1930 to 2010, the bridge throughout the River Stoke in the northern of the village remained. The adjacent farmland was replaced with many houses. In the center of the village, the primary school school was extended. Opposite the primary school, houses were built right on the site where shops used to be, while the post office remained.
In the southeast, the large house and a part of the garden converted into retirement house. Like in the north, the big farmland in the south was turned into a lot of houses.
