IELTS Writing Task 1 - Line graph

The graph shows Underground Station passenger numbers in London.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The chart illustrates the number of passengers at London Underground Station from 6 am to 10 pm. Overall, the two main peak time is around 8:00 am and 18:00 while the least crowded times are at 6:00 and 16:00 of the day.

Looking at the graph, the number of British commuters rises significantly from 100 to 400 people from 6:00 to 8:00, which is the busiest time during the day. Then, these figures fall dramatically to under 200 passengers until 10:00 am before a sharp increase to 300 people in the next four hours.

Regarding the second half of the day, there is a substantial decline in the number of passengers from 300 to 100 between 14:00 and 16:00 during the period. However, these numbers increase significantly to around 390 before a dramatic drop to approximately 125 people at 20:00. In the next two hours, this figure fluctuates and stands at around 150 passengers.
