The chart shows how often Americans went to fast food restaurants in three years 2003, 2006 and 2013.
It is clear that most people in the USA spent time at fast food restaurants once a week and once or twice a month. Additionally, the figure for people who went there every day was by far the lowest during the research period.
In 2003, the rate of people who had meals at fast food restaurants once a week was highest, just over 30%, which is approximately 8 times more than the rate of those who went there on a daily basis. In 2006, the percentage of weekly customers at fast food restaurants rose slightly to around 33%, while there were not so many U.S citizens who were there several times a week and a few times a year (the figures were 20% and 15% respectively).
In 2013, the proportion of people who went to fast food restaurants once or twice a month increased to around 33% and became the highest figure compared to other people's frequency. Americans who always said no with fast food made up nearly 5% of the total figures in the same year, while the lowest rate was seen in the group of people who went to fast food restaurants every day.
