Essay:

I’m writing this letter to inform you of a terrible situation that the laptop brought from your online shop seemed to be out of order yesterday. It made a tremendous negative impact on my work, and a quick fix is needed.

Due to some health issue, I have been working at home as a software engineer for over the past three years. In order to boost my productivity, I decided to buy a laptop on your website last year. Thanks to this latest computer, work efficiency has been significantly improved as expected. Everything is working correctly, until yesterday morning when I was going to start the laptop to finish an important project, it was suddenly unable to boot into the system without any detailed warning messages. For your reference, I am afraid that something seemed to be stuck during the booting process of self-check.

This accident prevented me from delivering the software on time to my customers. If this unforeseen malfunction didn’t happen, I would have kept the promise to have this project done. What’s worse, I am worrying if the codes and documents in the hard disk could be restored. If not, this could be a disaster for me and my customers.

The model of this laptop is Thinkpad X220, and the serial number is A7-BB8F3. I would appreciate it so much if you could have it fixed for me as soon as possible. If possible, any exchange for a new one could be accepted as long as the hard disk could be restored.
