The process flow diagram illustrates the production of instant noodles.
Overall, raw ingredients including flour, water and oil pass through eight different steps to be processed into instant noodles. Mixers, rollers and some other equipment are involved.
The first step is transport, as trucks unload flour at storage silos for later use. It is followed by transferring flour stocks into a mixer where they are blended with water and oil. The mixture passes though a number of rollers to be flattened into dough sheets before being cut into long, narrow strips.
When dough strips are molded into noodle discs, they are cooked with oil and dried. Cooked noodles as well as vegetables and spices are added into cups, to which labels and seals are attached. As all these steps are completed, raw ingredients become finished products. They are carried away on a conveyor belt and ready to go to market.
