IELTS Writing Task 1 - Employment rates

thank you for your help!

The bar charts compare the employment rate by gender in three countries, namely Canada, South Korea and Sweden. Data refer to the years 2005 and 2015.

Overall, Sweden had the highest employment rates for both males and females in 2005, but it lost this position due to the increase recorded in Canada and South Korea.

With respect to Sweden, the female employment rate increased by four percentage points while the number of employed males decreased in 2015 compared to 2005. Specifically, half of the women were employed in Sweden by 2015. This percentage is higher only in Canada, where 55% of females have a job. The increase, over a ten-year period, amounts to 17 percentage points in the North American country.

The highest employment rate for men is recorded in South Korea. In this case, it was not observed a large increase as it happened in Canada, but the employment rate is almost unaffected, a little below 80%. However, the increase about two percentage points would have not been enough if the Swedish employment rate did not decrease to 70%.
