The chart below shows average hours and minutes spent by UK males and females on different daily activities.

The given table illustrates the total of average time of United Kingdom men and women spend on various activities in a day.

Overall, the UK people use one third of the time per day on sleep so that this activity accounts for the largest of their time in comparison with other daily activities.

Sleep is the most necessary activity for people to improve health, the males and females often spend about 8 hours per day on sleep. Besides, the time on leisure activities such as watching TV/DVD, listen to music, games or doing sport are spent slightly less, at 5.25 hours by males and 4.53 hours by females. Furthermore, the average time on a number of other activities namely resting and personal care by men and women are similar from 0.4 to 0.48 hours each day.

There is a significant difference on average hours and minutes spend on work or study and housework between males and females. The males spend the number of average time on work or study are 3.45 hours, while that of females are 2.26 hours every day. In contrast to this, the total time which the males spend on housework only 1.41 hours in a day, are approximately half that of females doing. (207 words)
