The chart compares the changes of crime in car theft, burglary and robbery in New Port city centre between 2003 and 2013.
It is clear that the number of robberies was by far lowest during the research period. Additionally, the figure for burglary experienced the most dramatic change.
In 2003, the number of burglaries that took place in city was highest, at nearly 3500 incidents. At the same time, more than 500 robbery incidents occured, compared to approximately 3000 incidents of car theft. In 2008, robbery incidents dropped slightly and reached the lowest point of 500 incidents, whereas the other two figures gradually went up.
In 2012, the quantity of car theft incidents grew remarkably to more than 2500 and became the highest figure in the chart, while burglary's figure experienced a significant fall to approximately 1500 incidents. Meanwhile, the figure for robberies remained stable at just over 500 incidents.
