Ielts writing task 1 (bar chart)

The chart below gives information about global sales of games software, CDs and DVD or video.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information.

My report

The bar chart provided information about the global sales in three different things: games software, CDs and DVD or video from the year 2000 to 2003. And the monetary units was used in this graph was in billions dollars.

Overall, most of the things increased after each year except for the decreasing of the CDs. And the gap between each type changed every year. For instance, in the first year of the period, CDs was the most popular item and the amount of money the people spent for it was very high compared to the others. Although, in the year 2003, it was still the most popular item but the difference between with the other items had been reduced a lot.

First, in the year 2000, the amount of the money that was spent for CDS was about 34 units. It was decreased slightly by about 1 billion dollars. This decreasing still happened with the small density and the sales of the CDs was declined to approximately 3% in 2003.

Next, both games software and DVD/video had increased quite fast. In 2000, the sales of games software and DVD/video were just one-third and a half of the CDs, respectively. However, after three years of increasing, the money spent for DVD/video was as much as CDs (about 30%). And sales of games software was nearly 20 billions dollars.
