Ielts writing task 1 (bar chart)

The chart below gives information about science qualifications held by people in two countries.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.



MY REPORT

The bar chart supplies information about the proportions of the science qualification which comprises four categories: master’s degree, bachelor’s degree, school leaving exams and no qualification in science of the two nations: Malaysia and Singapore.

Overall, the two countries have the same percentages of Master’ degree and the number of the Bachelor’s degree in Singapore is twice as Malaysia. In the two last ones, Malaysia has the higher rates.

First, the proportion of the Master’s degree in the two countries are approximately 3%, However, in the Bachelor’s degree, Malaysia just has about 10% when Singapore is doubled (about 20%).

Next, about the two less educating kinds of science qualification: School leaving exams and no qualification in science. Malaysia is higher in both. The percentages are approximately 35%,30% in Malaysia, Singapore respectively. Last, the number of the people who don’t have qualification in Singapore is approximately 60% and these people in Malaysia is higher than about 5%.
