Overall, it can be seen from the chart that women from 45 to 54 years old had the highest proportion, while men from 35 to 44 years old witnessed the lowest percentage. Except for those who were under 25, male from 25 years old and over did less exercise than their female counterparts in the same age groups.
In the year shown, the proportion of women aged 45-54 who did exercise frequently worked out was the highest, at 53.3%, whereas 43.1% of men at the same ages took up sports. More than a half of women between 55 and 64 years old, and 45.1% of men in the same age period, as well as 52.5% of males and 39.5% of females aged from 35 to 44 in terms of doing physical exercises.
The percentage of females who were aged 25-34 was 48.9%, compared with 42.2% of their male counterparts. However, as for those who were 15 to 24 years old, physical activities were more attractive to men, with 52.8% compared to 47.7% of women. The figure for both genders aged older than 65 were quite similar, with 47.1% for female and 46.7% for male, respectively.
