The charts below show the result of a survey of adult education. The first chart shows the reason why adults decide to study. The pie chart shows how people think the costs of adult education should be shared.

Write a report for a university lecturer, describing the information shown below.

Writing task 1

The bar chart indicates 7 purposes for studying decisions of adults. The pie graph illustrates 3 recommended ways of sharing the costs of over 18-year-old people. Overall, the greatest ratios of choice in bar graph and pie chart are Interest in subject and Individual in corresponding.

It is clear that the percentages of people interested in subject and claiming graduating certificates are highest, accounting for 40% and 38% respectively. Meanwhile, there are 22% of adults finding studying helpful for current job and 20% of them want to improve prospects of promotion and enjoy learning or studying. However, 2 fewest percentages of people capable of changing jobs and meeting people are less than 15%.

By comparison, the highest percentage of adults paying the costs individually has the same proportion as the percentage of people conscious of subject, 40%. Contemporaneously, 35% of people think that the costs should be provided by the employer and one fourth of them advocate the taxpayer should fund the fees.

Use "illustrate" for pictures such as maps and flowcharts. Do not use for plots and tables. ) 3 recommended ways (There are no recommendations on the chart. Just describe the data. Do not add extra information that you invented.) of sharing the costs of over 18-year-old (I did not see any age restrictions in this data. Do not add extra information. ) people. Overall, the greatest ratios of choice (Not a good phrase. A ratio is expressed as two numbers such as 4:5 or 2:3) in bar graph and pie chart are Interest in subject and Individual in corresponding. (It is best not to tell the reader about the data content in the first paragraph. Just describe the aspects of the figures.)

The first paragraph tells the reader all the aspects of the figures, but does not analyze any of the data. For the next two paragraphs, the first describes the bar graph, and the second, the pie chart. Since the two questions are completely unrelated, it makes no sense to compare any of the data values.

The bar graph and pie chart summarize information from a survey on adult education. Specifically, two questions were posed: why adults choose to pursue education and who should pay for it. There were seven multiple-choice answers on the first question, reasons for studying, and the participants could choose more than one. Four of these were job-related, and three were personal. On the second question, there were three choices on funding sources (the student, their employer, or the government), and only one could be chosen.

The top two reasons for going to classes, with about 40% of the respondents, were for personal interest and to get better qualifications. Two reasons that related to their current employment (promotion prospects and helpful for performing the job) garnered about one fifth each. The fewest votes went for meeting people (9%) and to be able to switch jobs (12%).

The respondents were fairly equally divided on the question of who should pay for their classes. Forty percent claimed that the student should pay, about a third were for employer-funded classes, and the remaining wanted government funding.
