The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement - making process, and show how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.

The given diagrams indicate various stages in the production of cement and the process of making concrete using cement.

Overall, there are five main stages in the cement-making process, whereas only two steps are required in order to produce concrete.

In the first stage of cement production, limestone and clay are put through a machine called crusher and become powder. Then the powder is mixed by a mixer and run through a rotating heater where it is heated at high temperature. After that, the mixture is passed through a grinder and become cement. Finally, the cement is packaged into bags and is ready for the production of concrete.

The concrete making-process begins with the combination of various materials such as gravel, sand, cement and water, with the proportion of 50%, 25%, 15%, 10%, respectively. The mixture is then put into a concrete mixer so as to produce concrete which can be used for construction purposes.
