The table illustrates the data on people 65 years of age or older in three countries: Canada, Germany, and the UK from 1988 and 2030.

Overall, it is predicted that the figures for those three countries will experience an upward trend, and the elderly in Germany are likely to be the most significant part of the table.

In 1988, there were 16.32% of the population in Canada aged 65 and over, compared with more than one-fifth in Germany and nearly 15% in the UK. For the subsequent 12 years, the percentages of senior citizens in Canada and Germany witnessed more than a 4% increase, whereas those in the UK rose slightly, which was around 1%.

Looking into the future, the figures for those countries are expected to experience a growth of approximately 5%. Moreover, it is predicted that the proportion of elderly people in Germany will contribute the largest part of the table, which accounts for more than one-third of its population.
