The chart below demonstrates the changes in car possession in Great Britain during a 10- year period, initiating in 1961.

Overall, it is obvious that all three lines representing three distinctive categories in car proprietorship offer volatile patterns but two or more cars ownership generally display rise while individuals with no -> zero to one car outline the opposite.

Looking into the graph, both of the most populated sectors initiated at high percentages, specifically 70% and 35% for no car and one car, respectively. During the first 20 years, their arrangements were dissimilar as no car displayed a decline in terms of proportions while a gradual growth was apparent in the 1 car category. Both lines came across each other after 1971, reaching 45%. From there, one car owner reached 50% through a minor rise but suffered a decline, later on, once again reaching 45%. No car owners, however, described a more straightforward line, suffering a rapid shortfall, ending up at less than 30%.

As for two car owners, this sector accounted for 0% in the initial position but from there on, a significant increase in proportions took place, reaching 12%, 15%, 22%, 28% in 1971,1981,1991 and 2001, respectively. This also resulted in the taking of 2 or more cars over no car owners
