The table below shows the figures for imprisonment in five countries between 1930 and 1980. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below

The table provides information about the number of prisoners in five countries from 1930 to 1980

Overall, the imprisonment rate in Canada and the United States outraced the others. Yet, they underwent a significant oscillation.
Great Britain was the one that had the least number of prisoners in the year 1930. Yet, it's captive steadily raised every year, from around 30 in the beginning, and ended up with just well over 80 thousand imprisonments. Australia and New Zealand were both went through a steep dip in the first two years. Then their number increased again since 1950. In the year 1980, while the former successfully sank into the low of about 50 thousand cases, the latter continually shot up to well above 80 thousand imprisonments, in which even higher than Britain's rate.
On the other, Canada recorded to outraced the four countries twice in 1930 and 1950. Yet, it showed a downward trend throughout the period. Hence, there was a worrying situation that the American's detainees of custody raised significantly in the process, and in 1980, it peaked with just well under 140 thousand imprisonments, nearly twofold more than Canada's
