IELTS WRITING TASK 1

Hi, this is my latest writing on Task 1 of the IELTS Writing. I hope that you all can help me check some mistakes I have made as I have learned to do this task myself ^^

Topic: The table below shows the average monthly rainfall in two different cities. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table compares the average precipitation, measured in inches, in every month of the year in two distinct cities: Woodsville and Blacksboro. The amount of rain varies from 0.75 inches to 6 inches in Woodsville and from 0.01 inches to 4 inches in Blacksboro.

In Woodsville, the number fluctuates moderately throughout the year. The average monthly rainfall decreases stably from 5 inches in January to only 0.75 inches in July. Then, the number experiences an upward trend and reaches the peak in November with 6 inches. There is a slight drop to 5.5 inches in the last month of the year.

The amount of rain in Blacksboro, similar to that of Woodsville, reaches its lowest point in July with only 0.01 inches of rain. Before that, the number slightly rises from 3 inches to 4 inches, which is the highest number, in the month between January and February. Subsequently, it gradually drops to the bottom in July. Despite having experienced a downward trend, the rainfall starts to rise again until the end of the year, with the last number of 2.5 inches in December.

Overall, the average rainfall in Woodsville is a little higher than that of Blacksboro.
