The table compares the proportion of people cycling of different ages in a town in the year 2011.

It is clear that the percentage of females cycling was higher than that of males who used bicycles in all the age groups. The 0-9 age group was the most popular one that rode bicycles and those aged between 40 and 59 years old were the least common cyclists.

The figures for female and male cyclists in people aged 9 or under were 51.3% and 50.3% respectively, which were higher than those for the second highest category, 10-17-year-old children. There were 42.2% of girls cycling in this group, which was nearly two times as high as that for boys who did the same activity.

The other three groups showed lower figures for each gender using bicycles with all less than 20%. Only 18.5% of those over 60 cycling were women, compared to 13.2% for men. People between 18 and 39 years old saw lower figures, however, the percentages for those who were 40 to 59 years old were lowest, at only 12.3% for women and 8% for men.
