The illustrations given relate to housing costs and accommodation status in Britain. The bar chart has a 25-year range in 5 yearly increments from 1980; the pie chart provides the information about the proportion between owners, people renting and those with the second houses.
Overall, what stands out from the chart is that the figure for the average price of houses decreased yearly over 25 years. While the amount of money for a house from nearly 25,000 to above 30,000 in 1985 which was followed by an increase sharply by under 25,000 in 1990.
Meanwhile, the figure for renting ranked the greatest percent between 1985 and 1995 with 59% down to 44% by 2005. On the other hand, the percentage of owners grew gradually from 34% to 37% in 1995 and 53% in 2005. Although it slightly increases between 1995 and 2000, the percentage of houses as second homes fell sharply by 7% in 2005.
