Question

the two pictures show the changes of building in Liverton Docks between 1980 and present. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main feature and make comparison where relavant.

The map illustrate how Liverton Docks’s buildings have developed since 1980. It is clear that the biggest change that happened in Liverton Docks area was the construction of two bridges. Additionally, warehouses and crane have completely disappeared now.

To the upside of the river, all warehouses and crane in 1980 were demolished and replaced by the new building, club or kid play area. At the present, the river in the middle of the map and directly to the coast is still remained, while all the ships have varnished and two new bridge have been constructed.

At the other side of the river, there are a lot of new buildings including a sailing shop, converted building, apartments and parking have been constructed along the river to replace the old crane and warehouse.

The Liverton Docks have changed from a working port, with facilities for loading and unloading ships and storing cargo, to a recreational area with a river walk, museum, hotel, apartments, and other amenities such as a playground and sailing club. The warehouses were not demolished, but refurbished for new uses: apartments and an education center. The cranes, which no longer had a purpose, were removed.
