The bar chart compares the amounts of drugs consumed by students in a school in New Zealand, divided by gender and measured in percentages.
Overall, hashish or marijuana is the most popular popular drug among the students surveyed, while LSD is the least used type. Also, it is obvious that the amounts of boys take drugs exceeds that of girls, whereas boys and girls take cocaine at the same rate.
At the first glance, there are more boys using hashish or marijuana than girls, about 32% for boys and 29% for girls respectively. Likewise, boys take heroine, opium or morphine at about 8%, while girls take this type at only 5%.
On the other hand, the figures for amphetamines and solvents are roughly the same at 2% and 3% for girls and 4% for both drugs for boys. In addition, boys take both LSD and medical drugs at around 3%, whereas girls take those two at about 1%. Finally, both genders take cocaine at the same rate of 4%.
