IELTS Writing Task 1

Hi guys, please advise my writing on IELTS Task 1. Thank you in advance.

Here is my writing.

A glance at the graph provided reveals the amount of carbon dioxide that one person sent out in 4 European countries during the period from 1967 to 2007.

Overall, the United Kingdom was the most produced carbon dioxide among four countries throughout the period shown. Also, Portugal and Italy saw a steady increase in CO2 emissions in 40 years since 1967 while in Sweden, these figures went up gradually.

It can be seen from the graph that from 1967 to 1977, there was a consistent rise in the production of CO2 emissions in Portugal from 1,2 to 2,1 metric tonnes, in Italy from 4,2 to 6,2 metric tonnes and in Sweden from 8,9 to 10,2 metric tonnes. The United Kingdom, however, stayed at the same level of 10,4 metric tonnes during this period.

In the period between 1977 and 2007, the number of emissions which was produced by each Swedish person went down sharply to 5,7 metric tonnes, while the figures for Portugal and Italy were higher, at about 5,7 metric tonnes and 7,8 metric tonnes respectively. Although in the 30 next years, the United Kingdom remained the nation with the highest CO2 production per person, it witnessed a continual drop to around 8,8 metric tonnes in 2007.
