The diagram compares the differences in the arrangement of the furniture in a school library at two points of time: five years ago and at present.
Overall, it is clear from the plans that today there are more tables for the student. In addition, these tables have been designed to become private studying tables.
Five years ago, there was just four studying tables occupied at the center of the library, but now six studying tables are equipped and each table has been divided into six individual areas, so that six students can study privately at the same time. The second change is that there are extra desks for students’ laptops today, in the place formerly occupied by computer desks. This also leads to the decrease in the number of bookshelves, from two in the past to just one at the moment, the remaining bookshelf is at the north of the current plan.
Today, a conference room has replaced the library office at the southeast of the past library. While the borrowing and returning desk has been retained, it has been now divided into two areas: one for borrowing and the other for returning. The last change can be recognized is the classroom of five years ago is now a recording studio. The meeting room, however, is still in the same place.
