IELTS Writing task 1

Hello everyone, please help me check my writing task 1 and give me some advice.

Thank you very much.

It has 152 words.

The pie charts compare important sources of power used in the USA in 1980 and 1990 in terms of 5 different kinds of energy.

Overall, oil was the most commonly used kind of energy during the period shown. Also, all sources presented tended to changed slightly over the 10-year period.

In 1980, oil accounted for 42% of total, compare to 26% of natural gas. The figure for natural gas remained relatively stable in 1990, at 25%. However, the amount of oil used to produce energy dropped dramatically to 33% in 1990.

In contrast, the other 3 kinds of power increased or remained unchanged throughout the years shown. Accounted for 22% of the total energy in 1980, the usage of coal rose to 27% in 1990. Similarly, there was an increase by 5% in the percentage of nuclear power from 1980 to 1990. However, the proportion of hydroelectric power stayed steadily at 5% of total in both years.
