Hi, my name is Tam. Please help me check my essay and give me some advice to improve my writing skill.

The map below shows the changes in an American town between 1994 and 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making comparisons where relevant.

The map illustrates the alternation in a town in the US between 1948 and 2010. The initial impression is that the town underwent significant changes, with the most noticeable being the factories which were replaced by an airport.

In 1948, there was a park next to the factories but it was demolished in 2010 to make way for a supermarket. Commercial buildings were built in the empty area, they also covered the residential houses in the centre and the local supermarket in the west. In the south, the church was knocked down to give way to erect a sports stadium.

On the other hand, the petrol stadium in the north and the residential houses in the south were remained . There were also no changes in the streets through the town.

To conclude, most facilities in the town was removed for the new ones, except the petrol station and the residential houses in the south. There was only the birth of the commercial buildings between the airport and the supermarket in 2010.
