The bar chart below shows the number of students who chose certain university subjects in 2005. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
My task:
The bar chart shows the numbers (in thousands) of students who chose different university subjects in 2005. The chart groups the students according to subject and divides these subject groups into males and females. There are apparent differences in choice of subjects between the males and the females.
Sciences and Mathematics were the most popular choices for male students in 2005, but non-sciences subjects seemed to be more popular with female ones. Women tended to choose less technical subjects such as Social Sciences, Languages, Humanities, and Literature. In addition, Social Sciences was by far the most popular choice for women. Nevertheless, there were few women who chose Mathematics and Law: four and six thousand generally. Besides that, almost no men - about two to three thousand, who chose Languages or The Arts as certain university subjects. However, there were no differences in Humanities as the number of men who chose this subject to study was the same as the number of women.
