The chart below shows the different levels of post-school qualifications in Australia and the proportion of men and women who held them in 1999.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart gives data on the percentage of Australian women and men gaining qualifications after high school graduation in 1999 divided into five levels . Overall, the skilled vocational diploma was not common among women while the reverse was true for men.

As can be seen from the chart, the percentage of men surpassed this of women in three levels of learning namely skilled vocational diploma with a completely overwhelming number of 90% of total, followed that was postgraduate diploma with 70%, which over doubled this of women(30%) and master degree which made up 60% of total.

By contrast, In two remaining levels, women accounted for a larger percentage than men. Significantly, it showed a double in proportion of females holding undergraduate diploma compared to it of males. Likswise, There was 50% bachelor’s degree belonged to women while it was around 40% for men.

In conclusion, Australian men performed excellently in gaining postgraduate qualification in five levels under view.
