IELTS Writing, help me to correct this essay, please!!!

Countries are becoming more and more similar because people are able to buy the same products anywhere in the world. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

It is true that the world is becoming a global village and people can purchase the same items over all the world. In my opinion, there are both advantages and disadvantages of globalization.

To begin with, globalization helps consumers to have a better choice of products with good quality and affordable prices. Because the market is expanding, this reason creates tough competition among entrepreneurs, and in order to attract more people, businessman have to import more goods to add to the variety of their products. It is obviously beneficial for domestic customers as well as for the economy. Moreover, availability of international products makes life easier for people live abroad. For example, when I moved to Russia, at first I wasn’t used to eating Russian food, but I didn’t face any problems with it as I could buy my native spices and prepare Vietnamese food at home.

However, a globalized world affects cultural aspect in some countries more than others. People become more similar in looking. For instance, in Vietnam, Korean music and film have created a craze that is driving young people crazy and try to pursue the style to resemble the star they admire. This has reduced the differences between Vietnam and Korea. In addition, the local economy is also impacted as people tend to buy foreign products.

In conclusion, for me, globalization has made my life more comfortable than in the past.
