topic:

SOME UNIVERSITIES NOW OFFER THEIR COURSES ON THE INTERNET SO THAT PEOPLE CAN STUDY ONLINE. IS THIS A POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE DEVELOPMENT?

Online programs are indeed becoming a common feature of university education. Although there are some drawbacks to internet-based learning, I would agree that its benefits are twofold.
On the one hand, it is an indisputable fact that online university courses are the less direct interaction between lectures and learners. Students may not have the opportunity to engage face-to-face with their teachers. Thus, students may rely on written forms of communication. Similarly, people who do not come into direct contact with others, this may lead to a lack of communication skills, discussion, exchange of ideas. To illustrate, learners on traditional courses can take part in more extracurricular activities to discuss their homework, issues that must overcome at school, online learners are restricted from chatting through website forum areas. These learners may also lack the motivation and element of competition that cause loss of confidence in communication.
On the other hand, I am in favor of the opinion that online university courses are a positive development for numerous reasons. First of all, they allow students to study flexibly. It means they can study whenever and wherever is suitable for you, especially they can cover the material at their own pace. It is also interesting to note that the tuition fee for online education is certainly lower than traditional education. Thus, they may save up for their future and so on. Last but not least, online learning offers open access to anybody who is willing to study, regardless of age, location, ability, and background. A good example of this is that many elderly aged 50-65 want to get an MBA certificate, but they always on the go with huge workloads lead to they are not able to study directly in the university. as a result, studying online is the wisest choice.
In short, I once again reaffirm that the disadvantage of internet-based online is survived, but its advantage far outweighs.

please help me check it out!!

thank you!!
