Some British families decide not to buy televisions because they influence the development of the creativity of children. What do you think?

With the rapid development of science and techlonoly, television, as a new invention in the 20’s century is becoming a necessary part of human’s life. People can be informed of the latest news and diversity programs, everything shows very clearly with live sound and high quality at home. In my opinion, television will not effect children’s creativity as exaggerated.

To commence with, television is one of the most effective tool to inform children of the latest news. They can update hot news which happens everyday in the world about politic, society, cuture and so on. Instead of going outside to research and waste money to buy newspaper, children can stay at home and watch TV. Besides, when they watch television, it encourages the curiosity, hence kids will carry out revelant experiments, breakthroughs in their study.

Secondly, a range of programs on television are not only broaden children’s knowledge but also educate them in some ways. Watching TV helps them gain the awareness about several fields of life. Geography is an example. Students feel like they can travel all around the world by seeing colourful images and interesting videos on small screen. From that they will have knowledge about different countries such as cuture, tourist attraction and their aspiration to know about the nature. Some channels also educate children by inspired videos about the affection, the kindness.

On the other hand, tv sometimes play negative role in the growth of children. Some videos which include violence, pornography contents are making children walk on the criminal road,

To sum up, the government should do their utmost to prohibit the unhealthy contents on tv and provide children a clean growing environment.
