Please check this IELTS Task 2 writing for me.

Do you think it is better for students to work before their university studies? Why? Use reasons and specific examples to support your choice.

Some people are of the view that it will be better if students work before they begin university education. I agree with this view as it has certain important benefits.

When young people engage themselves in formal employment, they realize what it takes to earn money. This, in turn, instils in them the habit of spending money judiciously, which will help them in dealing with financial issues in their family. Additionally, since they have learnt to deal with money matters quite well at a young age, family members and employers trust them with important responsibilities. Two of my classmates who worked in a MacDonald’s outlet before they began university studies have always been seen to examine if they really needed the thing when they had a temptation to buy it.

Working in an establishment, however small or big it may be, helps a person learn important life skills. First, it instils the value of punctuality in the person as all employees have a fixed time to start and end work or fixed number of work hours in a day. Second, when people work in an establishment they need to come together to discuss various work related issues. These discussions are not always smooth; sometimes they turn into heated arguments. However, at the end, the employees understand that they need to stay together if they want to succeed in fulfilling their mission. Such experiences enable them appreciate the importance of teamwork. One of the students who has the experience of working in a leading Holiday Resort company has demonstrated excellent team working skills in many classroom group discussions.

In conclusion, students stand to gain without measure when they get to work before they start university education.
