Some people think students should study the science of food and how to prepare it. Others think that school time should be used in learning important subjects. Discuss both views and give your opinion?

My answer - The concept of what and how a subject should be taught has always been quite a debated topic. In this essay i will discuss the issue of whether school time should be spent in studying food or learning important subjects and give my opinion.

Time spent in schools are some of the most important hours in a student's life.
People think this time could be used in teaching something as valuable as science of food. Although education is important so is food, another essential part of our lives. Learning the science of food could bring a number advantages for a student. It would enable the student to be able to identify the various types food along with learning the various ways of producing it. The study can also instill a very important quality, the importance of food and its management in Students, a quality which would help in any state of food unavailability and also encourage them to rise upto the task of supporting the environment.

However, there are many that disagree with spending school hours on this subject. they feel that the time spent on science of food could rather be better spent on other subjects which would help in procuring a good future. Spending time on studying foods has many advantages but it also has its own flaws. The subject essentially bears no benefits towards a good career or a job. It might also greatly reduce the amount of focus students have on other subjects and when taught, might not interest everyone the same.

I would like to conclude by saying that, although studies may have a very critical amount of importance so does the food which keeps us alive and healthy. therefore the studies on food must be encouraged for the betterment of not only the mind but the health of the future generations.
