Some people think a job not only provides income but also social life. Others think it is better to develop social life with people you do not work with. Discuss both views and give your opinions.

Some are of the opinion that workers could make money and have a close relationship with their co-workers, whereas others counter that they should social life outside the office. This essay will discuss both sides of this argument and I will state personal perspective.

On the one hand, a job can help labors make a stable income and build up a strong bond between their colleagues. It is undeniable that workers are paid money for the contribution and dedication of them for their companies. To be more specific, they are able to afford the essentials such as food, clothes and electric bills, allowing them to have a decent stand of living. In addition, the workplace provides a chance to form relationships with co-workers, customers, and partners. This can make a huge difference to worker’s levels of happiness and general quality of life.

On the other hand, people should make friends with those who work in other companies. If workers have relationships outside the office, they will benefit from such relationships which strengthen their understanding in different areas of knowledge, which will make them more rounded in many respects. As well as this, a larger network of contacts would be necessary because the job market is becoming increasingly competitive. To illustrate, there are a colossal number of people applying for a position in a firm; therefore, job-seekers might find it difficult to compete with other applicants without acquaintances working in the firm.

In conclusion, in my opinion, both views of the argument have their merits. On balance, however, it seems to me that people should develop their relationships both in the workplace and outside the office.
