Being as a freelancer is growing in popularity because of various reasons. However, those who opt for being self - employed might have to overcome some obstacles to be successful. This essay will point out what lead to this phenomenon and list handicaps freelancers might face.

Having a job has become harder in these days. Recession or financial crisis causes high level of job redundancy, To earn for living, job seekers must crave their own path by taking advantage of their skills. Not barely do we see freelancers such as graphic designers, personal trainers, marketers and so forth creating their own business, seeking for clients themselves. Low payment is another explanation for decision of quitting job. With the same amount of work, workers could be paid even higher when they are hired by customers in person. In addition, Either finding hard to get on well with colleagues or having no promotion attributes to reason for leaving companies. Particularly, the whole world in undergoing severe covid 19 pandemic. Employers, thus, should cut down labour in order to maintain operation.

Nevertheless, one should deliberate thoroughly before they make their mind to be freelancers due to following disadvantages. First of all, a freelancer is likely a small company which has some common issues, for example, possessing a certain number of potential clients or expanding brand awareness. Without above factors, hardly can a freelancer survive. This is even harder for old people who are lacking in flexibility or technology skills. They might not adapt well the rapid change of market. Another drawback that should be taken into account is that freelancer must pay insurances themselves, which makes up a vast majority of their income.
