Topic: The unlimited use of cars may cause many problems. What are those problems? In order to reduce the problems, should we discourage people to use cars?
It is certain that some environmental problems caused by unlimited use of cars. While there are those who may argue that cars have become a daily necessity in our lives, I hold a belief that people should be discouraged from using them.
To be honest, it is true that cars have enhanced people’s life quality and effectiveness. However, there are two main drawbacks that cannot be ignored. First, traffic congestion is a crucial issue in today’s society. The streets and roads in some countries are quite narrow so people always under the danger. For example, in Taiwan almost 80 % of people drive to work or pick children up, most of the time they are in a hurry in order to be punctual. Unfortunately, because of the poor traffic condition, people may be late for work or even have a car accident. Another disadvantage of using a car is air pollution. We all know that gas emissions would lead to some negative impacts on our beautiful environment and human bodies. As a result, unlimited use of cars may lower our life quality and worsen people’s health.
From my perspectives, I totally agree with the idea that individuals should not be encouraged to using cars. Besides, the government should take steps to figure out this problematic situation. To illustrate, the authority could offer better public transport to the public or give some benefits to those who commute with public transport. By doing so, I believe more and more people would willing to taking public transport such as buses or trains instead of driving their private cars. Moreover, teachers and parents should teach and encourage students on how to ride a bicycle because riding a bicycle is not only healthy but also benefit our earth. As a consequence, individuals should be encouraged to choose other transport.
In conclusion, there are many demerits derived from unlimited use of cars, I believe that people should not encourage to use them further.
Thanks for any advice!!
