The performance of staff can have a significant impact on the success of a company. What can companies do to increase staff productivity?

Raising the competition of the modern world exposes companies and organisations to seek options for optimisation staff productivity. This essay intends to explore the potential measures for an enterprise to improve employees’ efficiency at work.

A comfortable working atmosphere could enhance staff productivity drastically. Research has reflected a disorderly work area with not sufficient light source can hinder productivity and producing quality work. This is mainly due to the fact that if the worker need to dig up specific tools or documents in a mountain of files, he or she will get constantly disrupted and times are will be wasted for the individual to re-focus on the point. Moreover, ample and appropriate light sources not only promote the physical wellbeing of the staff (i.e., the lighting systems are crucial to employee’s eyesight) but also allow the worker to maintain his or her concentration.

Alternatively, the corporate could reinforce the staffs working efficiency by educating them the concept of time management. To start with, the firm could introduce the idea of prioritising. The employees are expected to categorise their daily tasks into four different classes: important/urgent, important/not urgent, not important/urgent and not important/not urgent. Clearly, tasks that fall within the important categories should be given more attention and additional time should be allocated to ensure a quality output. Furthermore, the senior management should appreciate the varied biological prime time that exist in dissimilar individuals – that is to say, supervisors and managers are expected to understand some members may behave more energetically and concentrate better in the morning while others may act in completely opposite ways.

Overall, efficiency of the workforce is the primary factor to take the business on the top and enterprise can promote conformable working environment and provide education on time management to accelerate worker productivity.
