Write about the following topic: The number of overweight children in developed countries is increasing. Some people think this is due to problems such as the growing number of fast food outlets. Others believe that parents are to blame for not looking after their children's health.

Ever since the development of the food processing industry, many fast food brands have appeared, especially in developed nations. While many people believe this is the main factor leading to the increased number of obese children, others consider this is due to parents who do not pay attention to their child. However, I firmly believe that this problem is the responsibility of those fast food companies.

It is certainly the case that the rise in fast food outlets has had a negative effect on children’s health. For there are more and more stores being located near schools, and children can easily buy cheap processed products, which would probably make them become addicted. In addition, advertisements focusing on children can be seen everywhere, so kids cannot restrain their hunger after classes and buy the food. Obviously, eating too much junk food and not following a balanced diet would be the main elements causing obesity.

Although parents can be blamed for ignoring their child, it does not mean that these fast food outlets have no responsibility for the problem. The fact is that those companies only set profit motive as their main priority. this is the legal obligation of all companies- their job is to maximize profits, actually. For instance, many gullible parents are blindfolded by the methods of advertising, such as the sponsoring of children’s events, or promises of high-quality ingredients, but leaving all that behind is always money. In my opinion, this is a strong argument for showing how terrible fast foods outlets are.

In conclusion, I believe that obesity among children is caused from the increase in the number of fast food restaurants. Hence, the best solution would be to raise people’s awareness of eating junk food, and persuade them to take regular exercise.
