The first car appeared on British roads in 1888. By the year 2000 there may be as many as 29 million vehicles on British roads. Alternative forms of transport should be encouraged and international laws introduced to control car ownership and use. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Some people said that alternative forms of transport should be encouraged and international laws introduced to control car ownership and use because by the year 2000 there may be as many as 29 million vehicles on British roads though the first car appeared in 1888. I completely agree.
As I see, typically in my country which is Vietnam has a lot of traffics such as in any big cities especially in rush hour like : Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi City, Da Nang City, … and absolutely there was a lot of dirts, the air was really not fresh like the period of time in early morning, it was really different and absolutely in my own feeling, I feel very unpleasant about that. Perhaps a lots people know that Vietnam is one of countries extremely use motorbikes because motorbike, which was sold cheaper than any transportation moved by engine. I think at the present, at least of each house, each family have one. So in rush hour, about 6.am to 8a.m which is the period of time that students go to school or workers go to companies and about 4p.m to 6p.m is also, which is the period of time that almost people finish and go home, i must say that it’s really terrible to stuck in a traffic jam, in a buzz from horn or from engine of transportation. Therefore, that’s one of reasons explain that why i dislike my country have a lot of transportations, typically motorbikes, as i said above.
And the second reason of my own view is environment. Because i think for example if each house or each family have one motorbikes, there will have about 90 millions motorbikes, just be counted approximately of populations in Vietnam so we can see that amount of transportations moved by engine, which can made dirts extremely big, absolutely effect into the environment, into the air.
In addition, in my opinion, I completely agree because two reasons I gave above, so I think not only my country but also another countries all over the world, the government should give some compulsory laws of amount of transportation and also should encourage citizens use public transportation and also reduce dirts from that.
