Society is based on rules and laws. It could not function if individuals were free to do whatever they wanted to do. To what extent do you agree with this statement?
Whether laws can be affected due to citizen freedom or not is a matter of controversy. Some people claim that these laws exert negative impacts on individuals' habitats whereas others cling to the idea that laws help reduce inequality in society . I partly agree with the issue for the following reasons.
On the one hand, I advocate the idea that society should be following laws. First and foremost, people are treated the same according to laws regardless of background and trace. Without rules, several individuals or organizations abuse power to bully others for their advantages, followed by rising inequality. Let’s take Chinese famous actress Dilraba as a telling example. By virtue of her beauty and wonderful acting, Dilraba has to face the exploitation of her company for many years. Moreover, they also have tried to take 70 percent of her salary and have taken advantage of her reputation without acceptance.
On the other hand, a number of people hold onto the idea that their opinions on these laws play a significant role. It is argued that laws are created by just a minority, and that is why some people have the right to veto and make amendments. Moreover, due to the feudalistic rules and backward norms, some rules even deprive people of true freedom and fairness. Laws in America and South Africa years ago required the black to give their seats to the white on the bus.
In conclusion, I partly advocate the issue. Although people are treated the same according to laws, they have the right to veto and make amendments in these laws.
