In the modern world, it is no longer necessary to use animals as food or other products, such as medicines and clothing. Do you agree or disagree?

The argument over making food or goods of animals has been ongoing for years. It is claimed that nowadays, animal needn’t be the sources for manufacturing the product of human’s demands. From my point of view, I completely agree with this idea for the two following reasons.

First of all, the excessive consumption of animal meat can somehow lead to several health problems, including obesity, cancer and heart disease. For those people who have a tendency to eat meat rather than vegetables, there is a likelihood that their body might go wrong and malfunction, on the ground that the amount of nutrient is not well-balanced enough for the organ system to work properly. As a result, we might have a lot of one particular type of nutrient, especially protein, with the shortage of the others, such as essential vitamins, which are all contained in various vegetables and fruits. Moreover, the eating of animals like bats or any other wild species would be one of the main reasons why so many new diseases come out that eventually put human’s lives at risk.

Secondly, there are a variety of plant-based medicines proved to be far more effective than those made of animals’ body parts. A range of plants are proved to do our health a favor, for they contain less fat and unhealthy substances that would break our biological cycle down. Take ginseng as an example, this plant has been widely used for lengthening our age expectancy, slowing down the aging process and improving our health in general.

In conclusion, I believe that human should stop using animals for food supply and goods manufacture as there are much better alternative options like vegetables, plant-based medicines.
