Topic: Some people think that parents should teach children how to be good members of society. Others, however, believe that scholl is the place to learn this. Dicuss both views and give your opinion.

My essay:

For a very long time, parents are believed to have the most influence on their children. They have the responsibility to teach and help their children become a good citizen in this society. But nowadays, there are some arguements that children should learn the social skills at school. In this essay, I will point out somw of my views about this topic.

There are no deny that parents are the best teachers in life. They make the best decision and always hope their children to have a good life, a bright future. They can actually teach children all about the society, what were and are happening outside their homes. And the best thing is that children are likely to hear their parents more than teachers at school, especially with small children, from the ages of 3 to 8. But there is an disadvantages in letting children learn social skills at home, parents are not always have their time to hear and listen to their children, since modern life is getting busier than in the past. We have to understand for them, some jobs offer them to work more in the evening and after work such hard, they need time to relax and sleep than anything. Tired, money and modern life make the time to teach social skills for their children become less.

Teachers, in this scenerio, are not a bad idea for teaching children some useful skills. There is always a subject at school called Civil Education and its aim is to make students how to be good members of society. Students sitting right and carefully listen to what their teacher is saying, this may bring good affect the same as parent-teaching way. Moreover, children can learn fun skills and practice them with their friends.

In conclusion, I think school and parents should both teach children how to be a member of society. Children are not old enough to step into this complicated world, they need the help from the best teachers ( their parents) and the best learning environment ( school).
