Some people think the main purpose of education is to make individuals useful to society; others say education helps them to achieve personal ambitions. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Nowadays, more people are wondering the purposes of education. Some people argue that it is the great tool to improve the society, while I believe that education helps people to get closer to individual targets.

To begin with, it is true that people who are well-educated always perform the higher level of moral standard than who absorb the low level of education. This is because education helps foster in the young morally sound values and outlooks on the world and in life. Moreover, citizens will realize how important being a part of public services like work as a volunteer. Therefore, education plays an important role in increasing the number of manpower for the sake of society's advancement.

On the other hand, some people study hard at schools to make good grades or even exert themselves to complete higher education in order to get a high social status or earn a living. For example, a student who graduated from universities with an excellent certificate, by having a good knowledge of his major can help him to make a lucrative income and achieve life value. Hence, there is no denying that education provides us with various knowledge and essential skills, which open up a prosperous road for personal freedom and fulfillment.

In conclusion, although there are some reasons why education is important. I would argue that the dominant factor is the ambition of getting individual satisfaction like power and money . Besides, education also helps people have proper in perspective.
