Task 1 - Process - #02
The diagram below shows the process of plastic bottle production.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The flowchart depicts the way in which plastic bottles are produced.

Overall, there are six main phases in this man-made linear process, beginning with extruding a plastic preform and culminating in the final product. It is also apparent that only one machine is involved in this production.

In the first step, a preform, which shapes like an injection with a screw-like neck, is put in an extruder machine via a hole at the top. The preform is then heated from the bottom. The second stage is shaping a mold, where high temperature makes the inner walls of the mold cavity shrink to the inside, forming a hollow bottle-shaped area.

To prevent the escape of air, a needle is subsequently inserted into the neck of the preform. The process continues with blowing compressed air into the preform to push it towards the walls until it completely fills the cavity. Once the desired shape is formed, the mold is ejected from the bottle. At this point, the plastic bottle eventually emerges.

This is a very bad practice exam. The actual process is too complicated to depict in a cartoon fashion. I cannot make out the transition from the first to second stage - the mold is present from the beginning, and the plastic pellets are heated in the extruder ***** at the top.
